Money and Outpatient Psychiatry: Practice Guidelines from Accounting to Ethics A comprehensive guide to money matters in the office, with patients and with financial institutions.
Money management issues pervade all psychiatric practices, yet they are never discussed in school. This book is an all-in-one guide for the practitioner seeking to understand and master topics such as accounting, billing, collecting fees, contract law and informed consent, fee reduction and increases, payments and gifts (from patients as well as drug companies), nonpayment, and taxes. Customer Review: Superb This is perhaps the clearest, most concise book related to practice management that I have read. The author tackles the murky topic of money and financial management in private practice with clarity. Her coverage of the range of money-related topics is exhaustive. Her treatment of the ethics related to money is particularly enlightening; in addition to discussing and clarifying a number of common money-related ethical issues, she also provides an cognitive model for ongoing money-related decision-making by reflecting on the underlying issues and often hidden agendas in this area of practice. In addition to being utterly practical, this book is also quite readable. I highly recommend it for professionals who are serious about the financial health of their practice. Customer Review: A ‘must’ for any clinician or practice in psychiatry Cecilia M. Mikalac, MD’s Money And Outpatient Psychiatry: Practice Guidelines From Accounting To Ethics covers many issues not usually revealed in grad school, which all practitioners need to know. Billing, accounting and business management concerns are translated into money management basics for psychiatric practices of all types, from practicing psychologists to social workers and nurses, covering such important topics as how to assess an office or practice’s financial foundations, plan for private practice’s ups and downs, and handling legal and ethical challenges along the way. The second section covering insurance concerns, managed care, drug companies, kickbacks and more is where the meat of the book lies, really delving into the daily concerns a private practice an expect to encounter. MD’s Money And Outpatient Psychiatry is a ‘must’ for any clinician or practice in psychiatry.

Fundamentals of Financial Accounting This helpful supplement augments each chapter and appendix with reviews of the learning objectives, outlines of the chapters, summaries of chapter materials, and additional problems with solutions. Customer Review: This is a workbook not the book This would of been great if it was the book. However it was the workbook which is not mentioned at all in the description. Customer Review: This is the STUDY GUIDE for the text, not the textbook itself I ordered this item thinking it was a paperback version of the textbook, since it was entitled: Fundamentals of Financial Accounting by Fred Phillips, et al. I can’t truly rate it, since it wasn’t what I had intended to purchase.

Customer Review: Stunning Recovery The book i purchased was sent out the day i placed my order which i thought was incredible. Unfortunately, because of USPS, the book arrived in two weeks instead of 5 days with expedited shipping. Since the semester had already started and i could not wait any longer, i purchased another book and returned this book back to Juno. immediately after they received the unopened package they credited my card for the full amount plus shipping. junobooksonline is an unbelievably honest and efficient retailer. throughout the entire process communication was phenominal and promises were kept, unlike other vendors. i look forward to dealing with this top notch company next semester even after this ordeal. Customer Review: Excellent, speedy delivery Excellent, speedy delivery. At a APO address and still no issues. Will conduct business again in the future. Very satisfied with the product.

Century 21 Accounting General Journal Approach: Student Textbook, Chapters 1-26 Century 21 Accounting Celebrates 95 Years of Excellence! South-Western’s 95 years of accounting leadership is the culmination of generations of commitment to teacher and student needs. Why do thousands of teachers choose Century 21 Accounting each year?
Content The fundamental accounting content you’ve come to trust from South-Western remains in the Seventh Edition. Illustration Placement Students often use the illustrations as the starting point for understanding accounting. To meet this need, our illustrations are consistently placed at the top of the page and include step-by-step instructions. The supporting text reinforces concepts presented in the illustrations for complete accounting instruction. South-Western is the only publisher that covers all three concepts of the accounting cycle. The General Journal Approach begins with a single journal, then introduces students to special journals in Cycle Two, with a continuation of special journals in Cycle Three. Individual Lessons Each chapter is divided into three or four lessons with corresponding assessment activities right at the point of use. These focused lessons improve student comprehension by providing immediate reinforcement of accounting concepts. Automated Accounting in Every Chapter Computerized accounting is a reality in the workplace, and we’ve responded by moving Automated Accounting sections into every chapter. Students can immediately see the connection between accounting concepts and their automated applications. Many Short Problems In addition to the new end-of-lesson problems, we have introduced several short application problems at the end of each chapter. Students have the opportunity to build their knowledge one step at a time before completing the longer mastery and challenge problems. Century 21 Accounting General Journal Approach begins with a single general journal, then introduces students to special journals in Cycle Two.
